With over 300,000 subscribers and 2,000,000 website hits a day, Shipping-China has often referred to as the “Forbes” of Asia and is one of the most influential media networks in the Far East. Hein also indicated that ShippingChina.com is the first e-commerce website in China bringing together ship-owners, freight forwarders, Ports, and logistics companies from 30 countries. ShippingChina currently has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzen,Hong Kong, and Spain.

GBA President, Gus Hein was invited to Peru last week to talk with national government and business leaders about the future of the Port of Salaverry.

After weeklong series of meeting with Members of Congress, the National Port Authority, the President of La Libertad, the Director of ProInversion, the waterfront unions, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, and U.S. Ambassador P. Michael McKinley, Hein commented, "With the right mix of investment and vision, this port could be a highly profitable strategic asset for the La Libertad region." In addition, Hein received a briefing from Dutch firm Haskoning & Indosmar who recently concluded an equipment and infrastructure study of the Port.

GBA will be facilitating a consortium to bid on the Port's lease, redesign, and operation.
